RCH Consulting was founded in 2017 in Saskatoon, Sk. With a wide cross section of experience in plant design, equipment maintenance, and operations management, our goal is to provide our clients with balanced solutions based on our experience in real-world operating facilities.

RCH Consulting was founded on the simple belief that projects, large or small, don't fail because of lack of technical expertise - they fail because of a lack of communication.

How are we different? First, we recruit for practical and diverse experience, not solely in engineering design, but also in maintenance, operations, and construction. We "speak the language" of your business, and can bring practical, proven ideas to the table. Second, we take a hands-on approach to problem solving and design, preferring to hear the issues direct from the end-user.

Our strength is in the diverse experience of our team. Our core team of 20+ includes professionals in all core engineering disciplines, safety, construction, project, and operations management, and more. Our combination of in-office and remote work environments allows us to boast a workforce spanning from coast to coast.

Roy Howell. P.Eng, MBA, PMP

Born and raised in Saskatchewan's north, Roy has extensive national and international experience in engineering design, project management, maintenance support, and operations management. Prior to opening RCH Consulting, he spent 15 years in a variety of operations-side roles, primarily in surface and underground mining, including in Northern Saskatchewan's Athabasca basin Uranium deposits, one of the most highly regulated mining environments in the world.

Roy's passion for continual improvement has always led him to seek roles with clients working to advance, improve, and enable. He is a LEAN green belt, and experienced in a variety of continual improvement methodologies. Recognizing that organizational improvement starts and ends with engaging and enabling good people, he is also a Prosci-certified change management facilitator, a toolkit he draws on heavily for all continual improvement projects.
